Ants are social insects that live in groups (or colonies). Most ant colonies are formed underground. Foraging for food is the most common reason ants invade. Some, like the house and pharaoh ant, can nest indoors. Colorado has six common species of ants that may be required for identification and treatment. It’s important to give us a call when you first notice an infestation.
Bees and Wasps
Stinging insects tend to swarm in the late summer months but may reside in your home to ward off the Colorado chill. We have bees and wasps that are both social and solitary in our state. Common wasps are yellow jackets, hornets, and paper wasps. They are aggressive and can inflict multiple stings. We specialize in removing hives and nests indoors or outside while applying the proper treatment to ensure your safety in the process.
Mice and Rats
Mouse and rat infestations are dangerous to humans. They multiply at a rapid rate and therefore, may infest a home quickly. It’s imperative that you contact us the moment you notice evidence of their presence. These include gnawing marks, urine, tracks, droppings, nest sites, and damaged goods.
There are currently 39 known species of spiders in Colorado. However, very few are actually dangerous to humans and pets. While most of them are helpful to maintaining insect control in your home and yard, some need to be removed as soon as you spot them. Brown recluses and Western Widow (black widow) spiders are two of them.
Cockroach control and management are imperative for health and safety reasons. They can cause allergic reactions that could trigger asthma attacks, especially in children. Roaches also spread nearly thirty-three types of bacteria including E.coli and salmonella. The longer they are allowed to reproduce, the harder it will be to remove them from your home. Take steps the moment you find signs of an infestation.
